Whoa Darlin'! - Darling Darlene Turquoise Cuff in 22K Gold & Sterling Silver .925
The Darling Darlene turquoise mine was discovered near Battle Mountain, Nevada in 1972 and named after the daughter of the founder, Joe Borredo. Considered a small, “Boutique“ operating mine, it produced some amazing fine gem quality turquoise such as the one found in this cuff bracelet in hues of blue with green undertones. Surely a striking variety of turquoise for any collector of American mine turquoises. A 10 carat untreated scalene shape low domed Darling Darlene Mine turquoise set within a 22 karat gold bezel. The sterling silver .925 cuff base is work hardened and shaped to fit a standard ( or medium) sized wrist. The satin brushed exterior has hand worked patterning throughout that speaks of movement and a relationship with the top gem setting itself; adding a delightful subdued aesthetic to the cuff. Width of this piece is 24.5mm (which is 1 mm less than an inch). The top has been formed to have slight upward edges as an added consideration for strength of the piece, protection of the turquoise, and overall design that speaks of something truly handcrafted.
